I grew up in the Midwest but I’ve lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, for more than twenty years. I’m a former litigation attorney who woke up one day and realized there had to be more to life than the inside of my office. I left my law practice and spent the next fifteen years as a happy wife and mother. But the kiddo grew up and left me with an empty nest. I started writing again to save my sanity.   ; )

When I’m not writing, I’m probably in a car driving somewhere in the United States (and occasionally, Canada.) My husband and I love visiting friends and family but they live all over the country. So, we hit the road at least twice a year to drive from Las Vegas to Boston. Along the way, we zigzag through the Midwest and hopscotch up the East Coast to visit everyone on the list.

Every trip takes anywhere from two to six weeks. You may wonder what we do with ourselves during all that down time. Well, I’ve developed a healthy addiction to audio books and travel guides. Also, we stop at every national park and monument we can find. It’s our goal to visit them all. We’ll even hit an occasional national forest, state park, or historic marker if we’re in the area. There are some truly awesome things to see in this country.

If you’re curious, take a look at my travel blog. I wrote it so our friends and family could follow our adventures, but you’re welcome to take a look. It’s a work in progress 🙂

I should add, if you follow our journey through Italy and Spain, I didn’t have a functional curling iron that entire trip.  I’m not going to lie; it was a little traumatic.

I’m not bit on keeping up with social media, but I do have a Facebook page I take a look at every now and then. You can find it here. I love to hear from all my readers. The best way to do that is shoot me an email.
